I had a dream last year (2023) which had a deep effect on me, after all the years of waiting what's coming.

This dream was the most symbolic one I ever had, when compared to a different category of symbolism I have in my dreams. Here's how it goes:

In my dream, I'm walking a narrow path, following four other men. They are wearing hooded robes, each with a different color. Blue, red, green and yellow. We are climbing a mountain in some place which reminds me of Himalayas.

The Climb

We walk for some time, I can see sharp snowy peaks of mountains and a deep blue sky, I know we are way up high. Suddenly we arrive in front of a hidden entrance. There lies a huge, wooden door. We stand there and then one of the other men gives me an amber robe to wear once inside.

The door leads to a gigantic cave system. But the inside of the cave was renovated into a temple with proper walls. There is a huge main hallway which is at least 10 meters high, brightly lit by oil candles attached to the walls.

I see groups of people walking into another huge door to the left. Each person belongs to one main group, showing their affiliation with their colors. The hoods are up, faces are inconspicous.

Then the large door opens and everyone gets inside. I'm told to move on as well, guided to the group of amber colored people and told to sit down.

The cave is simply gigantic! It's at least 50 meters high and at least 10 square kilometers big! There are stalactite rocks up in the ceiling and there is a dim light highlighting them enough so that I can make out their shapes somewhat.

Then I see it: a huge column at the very epicenter of the cave. It's a perfectly round cylindirical column made out of stone. It touches both the floor and the ceiling and it's hollow. I can see an opening on it, cutting it in half. But the opening is not a simple cutout, it's like a portal showing a scenery from another realm.

Thousands of people are sitting as a circle, chanting and eagerly waiting for something. Then I hear a voice inside of my head:

LOOK AND TRY TO SEE IT

After the voice command, I feel like my head is locked in the direction of the column, and then the scene zooms in. I cannot move my head, I cannot look away. Then I see it: A white, dead tree in front of a huge mountain.

As the scene zooms in, the mountain comes closer and closer, just like the camera trick they make in the movies.

My heart starts pounding, I feel distress, as I try to look away I start hurting more and more. Then, between all those chanting crowd I start repeating the ta'awwudh, "A`ūdhu billāhi min ash-shaitāni r-rajīmi".

As my pain increases, I shout louder and louder. Then I feel an invisible presence. A hand pushes my shoulder joint with his two fingers, knocking me down on the ground, breaking my tether with the portal, I start shaking frantically. I keep shouting and shaking, shouting and shaking, on and on.

Then I woke up, still shaking like crazy. My shakes went on for another 5 or 10 minutes in the bed and my shoulder joint the hand pushed was hurting like hell. I sweated so much as my heart was still racing.

After coming back to myself, I thanked Allah for keeping me away. I knew, I KNEW it was THE tree we were not supposed to go near. I thanked Allah again and again.

I reflected on my dream for quite a long time. In the end, I think I was "visited" by an interested party and was tested / tempted for some reason. And my deepest instincts warned me Alhamdulillah.

To this day, I still get shivers when I think about it. I hope I did the right choice and I hope I passed the test.
